Tricia Cox’s work deals primarily with ideas of collecting, preserving, repairing, and restoring.  She intends to get across themes of futility, nostalgia, and self-awareness, while also addressing elements of craft, recycling, and religion.  Her current works are constructed from functional, found materials and stained glass foiling and soldering techniques.

Tricia grew up in Louisville, Kentucky.  She currently lives in Chicago and attends the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). She is the recipient of the John and Mary E Hoggins Award, the Bernard and Marion Messinger Scholarship, and an SAIC Academic Incentive Scholarship.  She works in the photography department at SAIC as the head chemist and lab technician.
